Thanks to all who attended the day-long workshop yesterday in Takoma Park – and for your patience with the challenges of the new site location.
It was a great day of hearing from market managers, discussing what works well and what can be improved, and exploring how Eat Fresh Maryland can best help to increase access to and redemption of federal nutrition program benefits at Maryland farmers markets.
We were happy to see so many new faces with markets ready to tackle getting SNAP programs in place, and look forward to working with both new markets and helping to continue to expand upon the successes of the markets already participating in the network.
For those of you that couldn’t attend, there will be a similar workshop in March in Southern Maryland – stay tuned for specific details soon.
In the meantime we’ll be working on the action items that came out of yesterday’s sessions and moving forward in preparation for the 2012 season.
